COLORADO RIVER - UPPER SECTION

The upper section of the Colorado whitewater rafting river starts at the Rocky Mountain National Park, so when you go there to do some whitewater rafting you are able to check out some beautiful nature’s scenery while at it. This section is good for people who want to relax, for elderly, or for people who have no previous Colorado whitewater rafting experience.

The rapids here are Class 02 to Class 03, like the Red Eye or the Screaming Left Turn, so it’s absolutely safe, and perfect for your initiation trip of Colorado whitewater rafting. You can bring the whole family with you, and the kids too, and you can be absolutely sure they will all have something to do and enjoy. The United States Bureau of Land Management is responsible for giving out Colorado whitewater rafting permits, and they do the job very strictly, so anybody who organizes whitewater rafting trips here, are real professionals and have outstanding customer service standards.

The amazing river canyons are rich with wildflowers, the Douglas fir trees and the blue spruce. The pure granite canyon walls are also a sight that you will not soon forget. The weather here is always nice and warm, except for a few thunderstorms here and there, with temperatures ranging from 70 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
